Urecholine
Urecholine (bethanechol chloride) is a medication used to treat acute, nonobstructive urinary retention - the inability to empty the bladder, often following surgery or childbirth. It stimulates bladder muscles to contract, assisting with urination, and is sometimes used for gastrointestinal disorders, such as treating acid reflux by increasing esophageal sphincter tone.
